Most Underrated NBA Players On 2019-2020 Season
When you think of the NBA, a couple names immediately come to mind. Think of LeBron, Curry, Durant, Kahwi, Harden, and the GOAT himself Kobe (may he rest in power); athletes who represent the best of the NBA, and to many of us, the entirety of basketball as a sport. But the NBA is also home to other players who don’t get much credit for the excellence they put into the court. Social media may easily obscure real talent, but that’s not what we’re gonna do here. Here are some of the most underrated NBA players we need to keep our eyes on this 2019-2020 season. Thaddeus Young (Indiana Pacers) Young has been with the Pacers for four years now. And with the tremendous effort he’s put into the team this season to tighten their defense while keeping the offense strong despite Victor Oladipo’s absence due to injury, I don’t think he’s getting enough credit. He was named Eastern Conference player of the Week, and it seems to me that not that many Pacers fans even picked that up. Image Source: https://bleacherreport.com/ Joe Ingles (Utah Jazz) If there’s someone from the West we absolutely need to get a closer look into, that’s Joe Ingles. The small forward with terrific offense skills has been overlooked for ages, and we’re not here for it. With a shooting percentage of 60.4, 62.3 and 58.1, there’s no reason for him to be part of the most underrated NBA players this season. Image Source: https://www.slcdunk.com/ Davis Bertans (San Antonio Spurs) Rookies like Davis Bertans can easily be among the most underrated NBA players. Bertans, or as his fans like to call him “Baetans”, is one of those players who are definitely hinting at a surprise. Ever since he made that 21-point score in honor of the retirement of fellow redhead Matt Bonner, he’s gained attention, but not quite enough. It’s clearly a sign of an even better comeback. Image Source: https://www.poundingtherock.com/ Montrezl Harrell (Los Angeles Clippers) The Clippers landing Kahwi Leonard and Paul George's off-season is, hands down, the highlight of the team’s campaign this season, but we also need to turn the spotlight to Montrezl Harrell a bit. I know that he’s one of the most underrated NBA players because he’s quite been settling in the middle in the past. Now Harrell may not have the best rep on the offense side, but this season is different. He averaged over 16 points in all games this season and not to mention, he got to the free-throw line five times a night. If that doesn’t speak improvement, I don’t know what does.
